Oil Change - Arlington, MA
Any auto mechanic would say changing your oil is one of the most important service tips they would recommend.

Most car owners that come to us in Arlington, MA request synthetic oil when having there oil changed.  Synthetic oil is great because it is thinner, resists temperature extreme better, reduces engine wear, and generally lasts longer before it starts to break down when compared to conventional oil.  Customers find it worth the extra expense for less hassle to have the prolonged oil-change intervals.

Low oil levels can increase wear to your cars engine and even cause permanent damage. Unfortunately, we see repairs related to not checking oil levels and maintaining oil changes, even with synthetic oil.

It's a good idea to check the engine oil level at each fuel fill or at least every couple of weeks to alert you to a problem if your car is consistently burning or losing oil.  Always consult your Owners Manual, the ultimate authority, for the proper procedure to check your oil level.

No matter your cars type of oil, it only takes a few minutes to check the oil level.
It's important to check the oil level regularly!

Don't drive around with old dirty oil or not enough oil.  This will most likely shorten the life of your engine.  So, keep an eye on oil level and follow proper engine oil maintenance to avoid serious surprises.

I agree with the fact that conventional oil is more efficient that the conventional engine oil. Fluctuation of temperature minimal effects on the synthetic oil as compared to the conventional oil as it is comparatively thinner than the conventional oil. Apart from this, it takes comparatively more time for degradation. So, use of synthetic oil is more beneficial than that of conventional oil.

Oil change is the most important maintenance item for any vehicle. Oil acts as a good lubricant for different engine parts. As time passes, the oil in the engine become contaminated with dirt, dust, debris from the engine and the environment. So the vehicle's engine require an oil change. By the process of oil change old oil is replaced with clean, fresh oil. With low levels of oil, wear & tear may occur in the car's engine and sometimes permanent damage. So oil change is necessary for the engine.

Oil change is of extreme importance for a vehicle's engine. Oil has a vital role to play in the vehicle. Oil lubricates different moving parts of the engine, piston and valves etc. It also absorbs the heat produced by the friction generated by rubbing of different moving parts of the engine. There by it helps to cool the engine by preventing the engine overheating. The engine oil gets contaminated with dirt, dust and debris from the engine in due course of time. Therefore it is necessary to change the oil. By this oil change process, fresh & clean oil is added to the engine.

Skipping an oil change could affects the performance of the vehicle in a very adverse way. Engine oil acts as lubricant which helps to reduce the friction among different components of the engine. Apart from this, engine oil absorbs certain amount of heat generated by the engine hence prevents the breakdown of engine due to overheating. However, engine oil degrades in time and should be replaced with suitable substitutes.

I agree that the lack of an adequate amount of engine oil or the use of old and dirty oil could cause breakdown of the engine. So, the quality and quantity of the engine oil should be inspected at a regular interval. Engine oil loses its viscosity with time as a result of which it couldn't lubricate different components of the engine in an effective way. So, such types of old and dirty engine oil should be replaced with suitable substitutes.

Engine oil plays a major role for a vehicle. It lubricates different moving parts of the engine, piston and valves. Apart from this, it also absorbs the heat generated in the engine due to rubbing of different moving components. There by it helps to reduce the chances of overheating of an engine. But engine oil looses it's viscosity in due course of time and gets contaminated. This old and dirty engine oil can't lubricate the moving engine parts properly. Therefore it is advised to change that oil with suitable substitutes.
